The 2024 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE) which commenced on the 30 April, 2024 in Nigeria is still on going  and it is expected to come to an end on 24 May, 2024. Students who enrolled under the school were advised to write the examination with courage and to always understand questions very well before answer, rather than being over confidence and miss the points.

The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Examination and Standard Delta State, earlier this week released the timetable for the Basic Education Certificate Examination for students in Basic 9 ( Junior Secondary School 3). The timetable indicates that the examination will commence on the 3 June, 2024 and end on 7 June, 2024. Not less than 24 students from the school enrolled for the the examination and will also, sit for it. 

In lieu of the Basic Education Certificate Examination, scheduled for 3 to 7 June, 2024, all basic and secondary schools in Delta State have been mandated to proceed on compulsory one-week mid-term break to give room for conducive environment during the period of the examination.  

18 May, 2024 at Imiele town hall premises witnesses the conjugal bliss of Master Okonta Celestine and his heart throb, Miss Onyeluwe Chiyem Precious.

Okonta Celestine is an Old Boy of the school, class of 2010. the occasion was attended by friends and family members. Worthy of note was the presence of old boys, class of 2010 who were all around him to spice up the occasion.

The meting of the Parents Teachers Association of the school was on the 30 May, 2024 held. The meeting recorded fair turn-up by the parents. The P.T.A chairman, Mr. Okonta David spoke on the need to always attend P.T.A meetings and encouraged parents to always be punctual at meetings.

DTSG POSTPONES 2024 BECE EXAMINATION

Delta State Ministry of Secondary Education has postponed the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) earlier scheduled to commence on Monday, June 3rd, until further notice.

A statement from the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Augustine Oghoro, on behalf of the Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs Rose Ezewu said that the postponement was as a result of the nationwide strike declared by the Organized Labour over the inability of the Federal Government to reach an agreement with labour on new national minimum wage.
The statement, however, clarified that in the event the strike did not hold, the examination would commence on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

The statement regretted the inconveniences that the postponement would cause .

The cognitive/ placement examination for pupils in basic six level of education earlier scheduled for 18 May, 2024 in Delta state, was later rescheduled for 25 May, 2024 by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, examination and standard department. The later date saw pupils who enrolled for the examination assembled in the different designated centres where the examination was conducted. The pupils of St. Charles Nursery and Primary School Abavo who were 27 in number had theirs at Abavo girls secondary school, Ekwuoma, Abavo.
